Nov. 20--The historic and contemporary facets of southern Randolph County pottery will be on display this weekend at the 22nd annual Seagrove Pottery Festival.

More than 80 area potters are expected to attend the event, which takes place at Seagrove Elementary School. A variety of traditional craftsmen, including blacksmiths, weavers and wood carvers, also will be featured.

Festival Chairman Richard Gillson of Holly Hill Pottery in Seagrove said he expects about 15,000 people to attend.
