The authors provide a general look at the profession of court administration; education for it; such programs within the profession; and, most particularly, programs

in academe, before making a general call for closer work by court administrators with academia. This article might be read in connection with the Mini-Symposium on Court Administration Education in Justice System Journal, volume 26, number 2 (2005), which is cited along with several of the articles there. This article tracks much the same group of programs discussed by William Raftery, and the other authors there, although Hartley and Bates are more generous in their inclusion of programs, as they list some that are, as a practical matter, not functioning.
