International Manufacturing Technology Show Extends Contract with GES(R); GES and IMTS Created...

LAS VEGAS -- GES Exposition Services, Inc. announced that the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) has extended its contract with GES through 2006. IMTS is held every other year and was listed number three in the 2004 Tradeshow Week 200 largest tradeshows in the United States and

Canada. AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology is the sponsor of IMTS.

GES worked closely with AMT to design packages that will allow exhibitors to better manage all costs associated with exhibiting at the show. "AMT listened to our exhibitors' requests for cost certainty and the need to control rate increases, and AMT is extremely pleased to present these four packages to our exhibitors," said Peter Eelman, AMT vice president - Exhibitions. "GES has designed packages that will allow our exhibitors to know in advance the cost of nearly all of their exhibiting needs."

Four mandatory packages were created, with block pricing according to booth size and weight classifications. All packages include drayage of machinery and displays, standard furniture, carpeting, and nightly booth cleaning. Packages also include rigging labor and rigging equipment for exhibitors requiring this service.

"GES understands that cost containment is critical to exhibitors, especially on a machinery show such as IMTS," said Paul Dykstra, president and chief executive officer of GES. "GES analyzed the orders of more than 1,000 exhibitors who were part of IMTS 2004, and with that data our team created four packages that will cover nearly all of the exhibitors needs," Dykstra continued. "Through the efficiency of predetermined bundled services and the volume of a show like IMTS, GES is able to offer these value-added exhibitor packages."

IMTS is the largest manufacturing and technology show in the Americas. In 2004, IMTS brought together more than 85,000 visitors and 1,200 exhibitors from more than 80 nations throughout the world, including the U.S., Europe, Asia, China, Japan, and other important Pacific Rim countries.
