Revenues Rise, Earnings Fall at New London, Conn.-Area Casino.

May 6--Mohegan Sun's revenues increased in the second quarter despite the weak economy and war, but the casino's net income fell as the result of higher interest and operating expenses, executives reported Monday in a conference call to investors.

The Mohegan Tribe refinanced some of its $1.1 billion debt during the quarter that ended March 31, securing from a banking syndicate a $391 million bank credit that matures in March 2008. The tribe purchased a WNBA basketball team
