New York State's Triborough Bridge Authority, a subsidiary of the state's Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), is considering proposals submitted by 9 prestigious construction/architectural firms to redevelop Manhattan, New York, New York's 3.4 acre Columbus Circle site. Many of the submitted plans call for combination retail and residential construction with some plans including office space and a hotel. MTA plans to seel the site to the successful plan submitter.

After faltering in the late 1980s, plans have been revived to redevelop the site of the New York Coliseum on Manhatta
