Amca Hydraulic Fluid Power, a Dutch manufacturer of hydraulic proportional directional control valves, has developed an interactive CD-rom designed to allow users to configure their own valve blocks and to generate order codes for Amca directional control valves. The company has put its whole range of proportional directional control valves of the MHV-, MEV-, MOV- and MFC-series on CD-rom. Amca products are distributed in the U.S. by SunSource.

The proportional directional control valves of the MHV-, MEV- and MOV-series, with a maximum flow of up to 211 gpm, can be delivered in a sandwich system or with a sub plate, The sandwich system allows a configuration of up to eight control valves, The valves of the MFC-series, WITH a maximum flow of up to 20 to 53 gpm, are only available as a sandwich system. The valves can be supplied either with electrical, manual and hydraulic controls or with a combination. Valve blocks with proportional directional control valves of the MHV, MEV and MOV series are designed so that pressure differences over the valve in operation are compensated by a two- or three-way compensator fitted as an inlet section. The client is advised to opt for MFC-valves for applications with several loads to be controlled virtually independently, since every MFC-valve is fitted with a two-way pressure compensator as standard. Moreover, optionally, operating pressures can be set individually at ports A and B with a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi. Versions with shock/suction valves in A and B and external pressure and safety valves are also available. Once the client has completed the desired configuration, the software optionally generates the respective inquiry or order form, with AMCA order codes, a technical data sheet, a dimensional sketch and a hydraulic schematic diagram fin a DXF-filel for use in Auto CAD.
