Starting tomorrow morning, low-fare specialist Spirit Airlines, the largest privately-held airline in the United States, will double its flights serving New York's LaGuardia International Airport to and from
Spirit's expansion at LaGuardia begins as the airline celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The six new roundtrip flights include inaugural flights to Fort Myers, Orlando (two daily), Tampa and West Palm Beach and one-stop service to Los Angeles. Spirit continues to offer five daily roundtrips between LaGuardia and Detroit, Fort Lauderdale (two daily), Melbourne and Myrtle Beach, S.C.
"LaGuardia has proven to be one of our most popular airports since we began serving New York area passengers in November 1998," said Ned Homfeld, Spirit's chairman. "Our passengers have been asking for more service from LaGuardia to popular leisure destinations and we're delivering."
