JetBlue boosts Puerto Rico flight schedule.

JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) has said that it will be adding flights to Puerto Rico this winter.

The airline is planning to offer additional services between San Juan and Boston, New York and Orlando.

JetBlue's seasonal service between San Juan and Boston's Logan International Airport will begin two months earlier this year. The carrier will operate nonstop flights on the route twice weekly in September and three times weekly in October, before switching to a daily service on 2 November. During December and January a second daily nonstop flight will be available.

On the route between San Juan and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport JetBlue will add an extra flight from September, making a total of four daily roundtrips. This will be further boosted with a fifth daily flight in November and sixth and seventh daily flights starting in December. JetBlue also flies daily from Aguadilla and Ponce to JFK.

JetBlue is also planning to add two daily flights between San Juan and Orlando International Airport, to make a total of four daily services on the route. A fifth daily roundtrip will be offered during the peak December holiday travel season. The airline also operates daily services from Aguadilla and Ponce to Orlando.

JetBlue's Puerto Rico flights are operated with 100-seat EMBRAER 190 and 150-seat Airbus A320 jet aircraft.
