Air Deccan outstrips Jet in network expansion.

Nov. 30--MUMBAI, India -- The rush to connect more and more cities seems to have become an obsession with domestic airlines, especially new players, who are rapidly spreading their wings to cover the country. Bangalore-based Air Deccan seems to be leading the race and has already overtaken Jet Airways to connect 44 airports.

It now has the second largest network in the country after Indian Airlines. Jet connects 43 airports, while public sector carrier Indian Airlines flies to 55 cities in India. Kingfisher and SpiceJet are rolling out their network.
