Clearly buoyed by one of the most spectacular orders ever placed by an airline at an air show, Dubai 2001--the 7th International Aerospace Exhibition in the United Arab Emirates held last Nov. 4-8-- got off to an unexpectedly upbeat start against the backdrop of an otherwise catastrophically depressed air transport industry.
