TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1996--AlliedSignal Aerospace expects the aircraft orders announced at the Farnborough Air Show to generate about $540 million in revenue for new AlliedSignal equipment and systems, aftermarket spares and repair and overhaul services.

AlliedSignal Aerospace is the world's largest supplier of equipment and systems for commercial transport, regional, general aviation and military aircraft.

Based on the aircraft ordered in the recent announcements, AlliedSignal Aerospace will provide wheels and brakes, safety, avionics, auxiliary power units, power management systems, environmental control systems, ram air turbines, smoke detection equipment, navigational systems and fuel controls.
Equipment such as environmental control systems, fuel controls, and power management systems are standard on the aircraft. However, wheels and brakes, certain avionics and, in some cases, auxiliary power units, are selected by the buyer of the aircraft. In many cases, AlliedSignal Aerospace receives a significant share of this "buyer-furnished" equipment.
Among aircraft ordered were the Airbus A300, A320/321 and A340, Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767 and 777, McDonnell Douglas MD-80, MD-90 and MD-11.
Airlines and other customers from around the world placed orders during the Farnborough Air Show, including Ansett, Asiana, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Federal Express, International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC), LOT, Lufthansa, TWA and others.
