Spirit Airlines, the low-fare specialist, continues to lead airline carriers in on-time arrivals with 87.6 percent as compared to reported data issued in the U.S. Department of Transportation's

The Air Travel Consumer Report is a monthly product of the Department of Transportation's Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings. The report is designed to assist consumers with information on the quality of services provided by the airlines. Highest On-Time Arrivals
Spirit Airlines reported 87.6 percent on-time arrivals for the month of December 2001. The 11 reporting carriers showed an overall 80.2 percent on-time arrival statistic. When compared to the reporting carriers, Spirit exceeded this statistic by more than seven percent.
