Honeywell signs contract extension with Southwest Airlines.

Honeywell International (NYSE:HON), a diversified technology and manufacturing company, has announced that it has signed a ten year contract extension with Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV).

Honeywell currently provides

maintenance on its avionics and mechanical products on Southwest's Boeing 737 aircraft.

Under the extended contract Honeywell will perform repair and overhaul services on its equipment for Southwest's fleet, a total of around 520 aircraft, as well as future deliveries. This is inclusive of Honeywell Auxiliary Power Units, hydro mechanical units, avionic, lighting, mechanical components and wheels and brakes.
