Panel's Vote Boosts Art Funding for Tampa, Fla., Airport.

Apr. 9--TAMPA, Fla. -- You cannot buy an airline ticket at an art museum, but it is possible to enjoy fine art at an airport.

Tampa International Airport took another step Thursday to enhance its art exhibits when the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority approved $1.3 million for public art for the new Airside C, including $1 million for five projects. The $134.9 million terminal primarily will serve Southwest Airlines when it opens in April 2005.
