For charter passengers headed abroad--or just upstate--it is important they are informed that each class of private aircraft is unique in its capabilities and functions, and each has a specific intended use. Smaller planes, such as light jets, are best for fewer passengers and shorter distances, while

larger jets like the Challenger are well suited for larger parties and longer distances.

The best way for passengers to be matched with the most appropriate plane for their trip is to discuss their needs with a knowledgeable customer service representative. In the meantime, following is a brief description of the various classes of private charter planes to serve as a general guideline as to what services each type of aircraft can provide.

TURBO PROPS

Turbo prop aircraft are the most economical of Schubach Aviation's charter fleet. The King Air models are good for short to medium distances, and are capable of accommodating six to nine passengers. Although not as fast as jets, King Airs compensate for their slower speed by providing more cargo space and head room than light jets. Additionally, turbo prop aircraft are able to access some of the smaller, harder to reach short field airports where jets aren't allowed.

LIGHT JETS

Light jets are the smallest and most economical of all charter jets. Schubach Aviation currently utilizes several different models, including Citation CJ's, a Citation I and a Citation SII. Most light jets have ample seating for five to eight adults and are ideal for short to midrange trips from San Diego to as Las Vegas, San Francisco, Cabo San Lucas, Aspen, and other destinations of equal distance. While passengers fly in style in this comfortable aircraft, they can relax and enjoy a state-of-the-art entertainment system, airshow, and an abundantly stocked refreshment center.

MIDSIZE JETS

Midsize jets, like Schubach's fleet of Hawkers, can make it non-stop from San Diego to most East Coast destinations with plenty of cabin space to ensure a comfortable trip. A VIP cabin layout provides seating for eight passengers with four club seats at the front of the cabin, a three-seat settee, and a single seat at the rear of the cabin. These planes have fully enclosed lavatories and forward galleys, and boast stand up cabins for added flexibility and comfort. Schubach Aviation's Hawkers come with a flitephone, airshow, an entertainment system that includes a DVD and CD player, and a fully stocked bar and refreshment center.

HEAVY JETS

Among the largest of charter aircraft, heavy jets are the most luxurious and accommodating. Schubach Aviation's wide-bodied Challenger 601, for example, is the ultimate in comfort and style. The custom-designed aircraft features a stand-up cabin that provides plenty of room to walk around, making long trips comfortable and relaxing.

Seating up to nine passengers, the Challenger features a newly refurbished, plush leather interior. Passengers can enjoy a five-course dinner served by one of Schubach's professional cabin attendants or turn down the lights and enjoy a movie in surround sound playing on up to six individual and two large flat screen monitors. Other in-cabin amenities include a full galley, private restroom, CD player, fax, a flitephone and a satellite phone. This long-range aircraft can whisk passengers to almost any desired destination. Some of the more popular include Hawaii, New York, Mexico, The Caribbean and Europe.

Each private aircraft provides a range of capabilities and amenities, and serves its own unique purpose. Whether it's a quick jaunt to the desert or an extended trip to Europe, consulting a savvy client service professional at a trusted private charter company will help you to plan the perfect trip--whether it's for business or pleasure.
