Viewer supports ECAD formats and more
AutoVue provides native visualization and markup of 200 document formats including Auto(AD, MicroStation, HPGL, CATIA, Pro/E, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Unigraphics, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, IGES, and STEP. The software is available as a Windows desktop application as well as a server-based thin client.
Improvements in AutoVue 6.1 include EDA support for several PCB design and electronicschematics formats including Cadence, Orcad Capture, EDIF (V2, V3, VO and PCAD (2000, 2001). 3D markup of parts and assemblies is available in AutoVue SolidModel Pro for Java. The software has CAD-format support for Autodesk Inventor 5.3, AutoCAD DWF (5.0, 5.5) and topological data support for DirectModel JT. AutoVue SolidModel for Java supports Unix and Mac clients.
The viewer integrates with widely used EDM, PLM, and ERP and document-management systems including Agile, Documentum, Lotus Notes/Domino, MatrixOne, Open Text, SmarTeam, and Windchill. The viewer shortens product design life cycle and reduces time-to-market by encouraging collaboration between stakeholders, heightening quality control, and helping to avoid costly design errors.
