According to Korean statistics, the number of direct investment projects launched by Korean companies in China reached 544 in the first half of this year, a rise of 12.2% over the same period last year. The investment actually made was US $320 million, a rise of 10.3%. The investment made by Korea in China exceeds its investment in the United States (216 projects and US$160 million) for the first time in history. China has become the country at the top of the list for Korean overseas investment.
