PROJECT OVERVIEW: The local DUBAI ELECTRICITY & WATER AUTHORITY (DEWA) is currently gearing-up to build a new, large-scale, grassroots power and desalination complex dubbed the L station. Construction plans under consideration call for implementing the project in 2 stages. A first phase will involve building a power station with an installed generating capacity of 500 Mw. On the other hand, the water facility will reportedly have a processing capacity of 50 million gallons per day. And, the second develop stage will be identical.
