The justification for an Export Bank has long been felt because of the desire to push export particularly by small exporters in such items as readymade garments, carpets, animal casings, stuffed toys, surgical goods, sports goods, cutlery, hosiery and, above all, light engineering goods such as electric fan, washing machine, and desert cooler.
