China's Jan-Aug Import & Export Volume Topped USD700bln

CHINA, Sep 16, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's import and export volume in the first eight months of this year totaled USD722.13billion, 38.2% up year-on-year, according to the latest statistics from China's Customs General Administration.

To be specific, the export accounted for USD360.59 billion, andthe import USD361.54 billion, up 35.8% and 40.8% respectively year-on-year. The accumulative adverse balance of trade was USD950 million.
