No plan to divert to alternative markets: Rafidah, BUSINESS TIMES

INTERNATIONAL Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said
Malaysia will not divert to other alternative markets although exports
to US, Japan and the European Union (EU) registered a decline in July 2001.

Speaking to the media at the ministry's monthly briefing, she said the
ministry will also take steps to optimize exports to Africa, Commonwealth
of Independent States and the Caribbean.
Malaysia's exports to these markets saw an increase of 7.5 per cent in
July to RM3.17 billion. T
