MALAYSIA is the largest exporter to the US among Asean (Association of
South-East Asian Nations) countries, with US$25.4 billion (US$1 = RM3.80)
worth of goods exported last year.
Quoting US Department of Commerce statistics, the US-Asean Business
Council said total trade between Malaysia and the US was US$36.3 billion
during the period.
"Malaysia's imports from the US amounted to US$10.9 billion," the
group said in a statement made available to Business Times.
