Over the past five years, 8 countries have been supplying Indonesia with gensets on a regular basis in varying quantities. They are Japan, the United States, France, Italy, Singapore, West Germany, China, and England. A number of other countries also export gensets to Indonesia, but on an irregular basis. These countries include Australia, Hungary, Taiwan, and Holland. Hungary did not start exporting gensets to Indonesia until 1988.
