Sep. 1--OAPEC CALLS FOR MARKET STABILITY: The Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, which represents 10 Arab oil exporting nations, said that it hoped Opec would stabilise the oil market at its meeting later this month. In its latest bulletin Oapec expressed its conviction that oil prices must not be allowed to collapse, and called for a spirit of cooperation. Its economists argued that the USD22-28 per barrel price band would promote global economic recovery.
