Exporting organic foods.

The organic foods market is predicted to grow by 1%-10% in the next millenium which opens up more export opportunities for organic food-exporting developing countries. Products with good market potential include cocoa, coffee, tea, tropical fruits, vegetables and grain. In addition, off-season fruits offer another niche to exporters. However, exporting countries should develop their technical knowledge and marketing skills. Furthermore, both developing and developed countries should address the challenge of certification of organic origin.
