Dec. 26--PADUCAH, Ky.--USEC SETS UNITED WAY RECORD: USEC Inc. employees have raised $100,611 for the United Way, thanks to 125 new contributors and the best per-capita giving in the plant's 52-year history.
The total includes $7,500 from the company and an average contribution of about $147 per year from slightly more than half the plant's 1,270 workers. Per capita giving averaged $77, up more than $3 from 2002, from payroll deductions or one-time cash gifts.
