On August 15, NWPPA will host the first of several summer webinars: Influencing Climate Change Initiatives. NWPPA suggests that all utility employees, especially general managers, policy makers, power supply managers, and key staff, attend this informational session that will be led by Marty Kanner
The climate change legislation currently under development in Washington D.C. has huge financial implications for future power supply options throughout the West. During this 90-minute webinar, participants will learn the terminology of carbon limitation proposals, the principles for global climate change legislation, PPC guidance, as well as several other topics.
Because this is an online webinar program, registered individuals can simply participate from their offices using an Internet-connected computer and a standard telephone. Instructions will be e-mailed to all registered participants approximately one week before the program. We encourage you to schedule a utility-wide meeting in your conference room/auditorium to see this webinar because the single webinar fee covers an unlimited number of people participating at your location.
The webinar will begin at 9:00 a.m. PST and is only available for PPC and NWPPA public utility members. PPC member utilities that are not NWPPA members, or anyone with other questions, should contact the NWPPA office at (360) 254-0109.
