MonorTel to introduce flat rate phone service.

The Hungarian operator MonorTel is to launch a monthly flat rate service for voice calls from September.

MonorTel customers who pay approximately E21 per month can make calls within the MonorTel

service area without any further charges. The operator, which is controlled by the Dutch company UPC, covers a relatively small region south east of Budapest. The new flat rate will not include net services.

Also from September Matav, the biggest phone operator in the country, will be changing its tariffs. Monthly subscription fees will increase by an average 2.99 per cent, with the most common tarrif package at E12. ((Distributed via M2 Communications Ltd - http://www.m2.com))
