At a time when hundreds of freight exchanges are trying to streamline the transportation marketplace but are having difficulty finding customers, DAT Services makes online transactions a reality for more than 17,000 customers.

At the ATA conference, DAT Services unveiled DATconexus,

a neutral Internet marketplace to unite DAT's loyal customer base of carriers, intermediaries and their customers.

Building on its reputation for aligning customer needs with technological breakthroughs, DAT Services designed DATconexus to both automate the transportation negotiation process and to offer a point of convergence for the industry.

DATconexus optimizes the movement of shipments and equipment by providing an online negotiation process, access to DAT's 17,000-participant freight exchange network and a suite of decision support tools. DATconexus becomes the collaborative center of transaction activity by assembling multiple customers and business partners in a neutral trading environment. DAT Services is extending its service offering to encompass and expedite shipment entry, equipment availability, offer tendering, negotiation and automated confirmation via a neutral marketplace. In addition, DATconexus incorporates Partner Trading Groups, a selection and communication mechanism that facilitates negotiation with user-defined entities and groups, enabling customers to easily communicate with their preferred trading partners.
