Internet domains have a 'poor bill of health' - claim.

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

3A recent survey by Men & Mice of Iceland has found that Internet domain names require a clean up as they are currently showing a poor bill of health.

Sjofn Agustsdottir, a spokesperson for Men & Mice, said

that the company's domain health survey found that the Internet is built upon 'faulty foundations' and requires 'spring-cleaning' to eliminate 'mis-configured zones.'

The survey published recently involved companies from Canada and the UK and found that 70.05% of zones in these countries were incorrectly configured and managed, a factor that could adversely impact on the services provided by on-line companies.

Australian companies had 58% incorrect zones, Spanish companies 58.8% and Ireland 55.1%. Countries with a relatively good domain set-up included France (29.35% incorrect), Iceland (32% incorrect) and Norway with 36.10% incorrect.

Men & Mice has now launched a 'Spring cleaning ' project at http://sc.menandmice.com.
