If you are thinking about getting high speed Internet service over your phone lines (DSL), make sure you read the fine print of the contract.
- Find out the time commitment. A shorter time commitment is generally better, and many providers charge if you decide to end your service early.
- Check to make sure the provider doesn't have any restrictions on the amount of data you can receive or send each month.
- If you are planning to hook up a server to your broadband connection, beware: Many contracts forbid the use of servers.
