CityReach International (CRI) today announced the opening of its Irish site in North

Dublin. The European infrastructure and managed services provider for the Business Internet, with US headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has invested some $350 million in infrastructure centers across Europe.

The 120,000 sq. ft. facility, one of the largest in the CRI network, is located in the heart of Ireland's burgeoning Internet community--well placed for the new generation of Systems Integrators (SIs), Application Service Providers (ASPs) and web hosters enabling e-business in Ireland.

"Dublin is rapidly gaining an international reputation as an e-commerce hub for Europe. The establishment of our facility here puts us one step further closer to becoming the standard in infrastructure and managed services," said CityReach CEO Dr. Sanjaya Addanki.

Ireland's Tanaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) Mary Harney, noted that "companies like CityReach International can now offer their customers in Ireland levels of connectivity and technical excellence on par with those anywhere in the world. This opening is another milestone in Ireland's development as a gateway to Europe for international companies and further highlights the government's progress in attracting e-commerce enterprises here." Harney will officially open the facility, in the suburb of Clonshaugh, tomorrow (Thursday).

Addanki pointed out that CityReach International is the first European enterprise to receive Cisco Application Infrastructure Provider (AIP) certification, meeting the exacting infrastructure design standards that Cisco requires. In addition to Dublin, CityReach has facilities in Amsterdam, London, Stockholm and Budapest, with others planned for major European Capitals during 2001.

The Dublin site, in common with the rest of the CityReach European network, offers comprehensive and guaranteed managed services from a highly secure and reliable environment.

With an increasing number of companies moving their operations and business processes--retail transaction systems, supply chain management, and personnel management --to the Internet, the demand is for the same type of mission-critical capabilities that major corporations have in-house data centers. CityReach's Dublin operation provides the security, reliability, manageability and scalability found in data centers catering to the new generation of System Integrators, ASPs and web hosters that serve major corporations.

Unlike traditional carrier hotels and co-location providers which offer little more than 'rack-based real estate,' CityReach is rooted in the mission-critical, zero tolerance, corporate IT culture.
