PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2002

Prophet Financial Systems, innovators of Web-based financial applications, today announced the launch of their online technical analysis suite at www.Prophet.net.

"This bear market has taken many investors by surprise. However, there remains tremendous opportunity for profit in any market where there is volatility," says Tim Knight, Prophet's president and CEO. "Investors are expressing corporate distrust and a similar wariness of fundamental data. Prophet's strength in technical analysis provides an increasingly attractive market approach based on time-tested, quantitative methods."

The new Prophet.Net Web site offers active traders and online investors a sophisticated, easy-to-use system for ongoing portfolio development and management. It is organized around three main sections -- Explore, Analyze and Manage -- and offers the convenience and portability of browser-based access.

In the Explore section, investors can use powerful stock picking tools, including intraday market scans, sector performance and custom filters.

The Analyze section features Prophet's award-winning charts and over 130 technical studies. With the latest release of Prophet JavaCharts, traders can view real-time streaming charts with 60 days of intraday data (plus more than 40 years of daily historical data), use trendlines to uncover levels of support and resistance, and launch chart "clones" with just a click.

Real-time streaming quotes and portfolios can be found in the Manage section. Additionally, investors can keep Notes and maintain and online Trading Journal.

Three paid membership levels -- Bronze, Silver and Gold -- unleash the advanced features available at Prophet.Net. Real-time equities data starts at just $19.95 per month with the Silver membership. Futures and options traders can sign up for the Gold membership. Additionally all investors are welcome to enjoy Basic features free of charge.

"Prophet captures the power and flexibility of expensive technical analysis software packages and delivers these capabilities via the browser," continued Mr. Knight. "This new suite provides unprecedented value, personalization and convenience for today's self-directed trader."
