Digital ID World 2002
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 2002
Microsoft Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer Craig Mundie will deliver a keynote address at the Digital ID World Conference in Denver on October 10.
He will speak on the technical, business, and policy implications of digital identity and delivering trustworthy computing.
Mundie will be joined by Microsoft Corporate Vice President Brian Arbogast (the executive responsible for Microsoft's Passport service). Arbogast will speak on October 9, focusing on Microsoft's broad identity strategy.
Microsoft has taken an active role in framing the issues surrounding digital identity. "We need to go beyond the islands of identity we have today to a world where interoperable digital identity establishes itself as a core privacy-enhancing technology," Arbogast said. "This will help bring about the next wave of innovation on the Internet."
Digital ID World 2002 is the first industry conference dedicated exclusively to issues of digital identification, security, privacy and theft. It is scheduled for October 9-11, in Denver, Colorado. In addition to senior Microsoft management, over 75 leading industry veterans, analysts, policy makers and technologists will be speaking.
