Contract With Leading Japanese Automotive Manufacturer Highlights
MSC.Software Expertise in CATIA V5 Analysis Tools
MSC.Software Corp. (NYSE:MNS), the leading global
MSC.Dynamic Designer Suspension is a vertical CATIA V5 module that will allow dynamic motion simulation to be performed on CATIA V5 suspension assemblies. By simulating the dynamic motion of the assemblies, engineers will be able to view animations and XY plots of resulting motion and make design changes quickly without having to spend excess time and money building and testing physical prototypes of suspension systems.
"When a manufacturer is thinking of simulation, analysis and virtual prototyping in the CATIA V5 environment, they should think of MSC.Software first," said Frank Perna, chairman and chief executive officer of MSC.Software. "Our work with Toyota is an example of how we are executing on our V5 strategy by offering analysis and prototyping tools that are seamlessly integrated with CATIA V5. In addition, this new contract is an example of the success of the Mechanical Dynamics integration and I'm confident we'll continue to see more customers taking advantage of the entire MSC.Software product line."
MSC.Dynamic Designer products test how mechanisms function before they are built, saving manufacturers time and money during the design and testing process. As a CAA V5 Gold Product, MSC.Dynamic Designer's user interface is a seamless extension of CATIA V5.
