BLUE BELL, Pa. -- Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS) today announced a tool that gives companies the ability to see the financial impact of changes to their supply chains on their bottom lines. The tool is a key piece of Unisys Global Visible Commerce Solutions, which are designed to help companies increase

the value of their operations by giving executives near-real time views into their global supply chains. E[acute accent]The modeler combines benchmark data from a wide variety of industry and research organization sources, including direct client experiences with Unisys and its partners. It then analyzes that data against financial information from the client. The results are intended to be tracked through the course of pilot projects and full-production rollouts. E[acute accent]"This model takes the financial guesswork out of making critical changes in supply chains," said Jim Fry, a partner in Unisys Global Supply Chain practice. "As a result, companies can make safer, faster and more informed decisions." E[acute accent]The basic model is built with the flexibility to cover multiple industries. An initial model designed specifically for the pharmaceutical industry is also available. This model has been used to illustrate the summary financial impacts on an average pharmaceutical manufacturer once the capabilities are fully deployed. For example, the tool projects (based on a sample scenario of $28 billion in sales, $50 billion in assets and 26% EBIT):
