Gold Kist to Present at JPMorgan Small Cap Conference.

ATLANTA -- Gold Kist Inc. (NASDAQ:GKIS) today announced that it will participate in the JPMorgan Small Cap Conference, which takes place November 1-2 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston. The investor presentation by Stephen O. West, chief financial officer and vice president, is scheduled at 11:00

a.m. Eastern Time on November 2, and will be available to investors via a live audio webcast. A link to the webcast can be found at the investor section of the Company's website, www.goldkist.com, and the event will be available for replay using that same link for 30 days.
