Ticketmaster to Offer Online Service to Bid for Best Seats.

Sep. 5--So your favorite rock band is coming to town and you want to get the best seats in the house before they go on sale to the general public? A new Ticketmaster service could be just the ticket.

As early as this fall, the company will offer an online auction service for customers to bid on tickets, with the highest bidders snagging the best seats.

Ticketmaster will not operate the service independently, though; it's entirely up to show promoters, artists and venue ope
