Software Testing Assurance Corp. Launches SEC Year2000 Disclosure Compliance Product.

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 1998--The Software Testing Assurance Corp. (STACorp) announced today its Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Year 2000 Disclosure Compliance product.

This product tracks SEC independent verification and validation requirements and assists

organizations in preparing their Year 2000 disclosures to the SEC.

The SEC established on August 4, 1998 new and more definitive disclosure requirements for public corporations in dealing with the Year 2000 computer problem. These requirements are effective immediately and require reporting companies to comply without delay.

STACorp's product is web-based and allows corporations to first perform a self-assessment and then to use STACorp trained certification assessors to complete the verification and validation processes. All work is confidential and maintained in a highly secure environment.

"The newly released SEC disclosure requirements is a significant event. It puts every organization on notice that computers are so important to the national economic health and to national security that their operations now require regulatory oversight," said Paul A. Strassmann, chairman and CEO. "The new STACorp offering will provide independent verification and validation services to attest that corporate Year 2000 risks are well managed."

Software Testing Assurance Corp. provides assessment and certification of Year 2000 readiness in conformity with public domain standards. Full information can be obtained at STACorp's web site: www.STACorp.com.
