In 1995, Vermont received a federal Technology Innovation Challenge Grant through the Montpelier School District called The WEB Project. The grant was written to be a statewide initiative aimed at helping students in Vermont schools demonstrate and improve their mastery of state standards through performance in Vital Results and two Fields of Knowledge: Arts, Language and Literature; and History and Social Sciences (specific sections of the Vermont Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities).
