How PictraShare Works

PictraShare offers an easy-to-navigate user interface for creating personalized digital photo albums. A variety of album page templates, backgrounds and colors are available for users to choose from, and each image can be annotated with a caption to describe an event or occasion. Once the album layout is completed, the album is ready to be published. With a click of a mouse button, the album is given its own URL Web address and is automatically uploaded to the PictraNet Publish and Share(TM) Web site (www.pictranet.com).

PictraNet Publish and Share is offered as a subscriber-based service to PictraShare users who want to share their digital photo albums over the Internet. PictraShare users get a one-month free trial membership to PictraNet Publish and Share which provides one megabyte of space, holding approximately 20 images. Anyone using a standard Internet browser may explore the PictraNet Publish and Share Web site to access and view albums.

Viewers of the albums can easily respond back with an email from the PictraNet Publish and Share Web site.

PictraShare is optimized for Intel's Pentium II MMX(TM) technology. It is format and resolution independent, accepting most popular digital image formats such as Flash Pix, JPEG, BMP, PNG and Photo CD. It does not limit the resolution size of an image and can be used with any image processing applications.

Pricing and Availability

PictraShare is designed both as a stand-alone application and as a plug-in that may be integrated into image processing applications. Today, PictraShare is integrated as a standard feature in the new Adobe PhotoDeluxe version 2.0 photo-editing software. It will also come bundled in a number of leading scanner, digital camera and storage products.
