NIC in talks with Google and Yahoo for search engine.

Jun. 6--NEW DELHI -- The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is in talks with global majors such as Google and Yahoo for improving its search facilities across government websites. NIC, which is part of the ministry of communications and information technology, is a network provider to state and Central governments, and currently hosts over 5,000 websites which offers different search engines.
