The new QMS ImageServer Print Systems are optimized for
"The use of image-rich documents in enterprise environments continues to tax conventional print systems," said Richard Bowles, executive director of worldwide marketing at QMS. "Conventional print systems are not designed to effectively process the special compression formats used by today's imaging systems. However, QMS ImageServer Print Systems exhibit all of the characteristics of the best network printing systems while providing the additional capability of directly accepting and decompressing specialized image file formats."
The family of QMS ImageServer Print Systems, which range in print speeds from 10 to 45 pages per minute, enable users to print image files at or near rated engine speeds. Providing high-performance image file decompression for most image file formats, including TIFF, CALS, PostScript Level 2/CCITT, and QMS high-performance CCITT Group 3 and Group 4 emulations, ImageServer Print Systems are a complete image printing solution and require no additional hardware. Included with the print systems are a robust set of Windows host software utilities including the QMS ImageServer Driver, QMS FastPrint driver, and Documents On-Line.
QMS ImageServer Developer's Kit
The new ImageServer Developer's Kit consists of a comprehensive set of development tools designed to allow document imaging software developers to take full advantage of the powerful set of features found on QMS ImageServer Print Systems. Featured in the new kit is an extensive set of technical references, utilities, "C" source code samples, and Microsoft Windows compliant drivers for Windows 3.x, Windows 95, and Windows NT operating systems.
