COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 22, 2002

Today, Hunter Stone, Inc. announced their participation in the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Integration Program (VSIP).

"This is an important day in our company's history,"

said Neil Richards, President and CEO of Hunter Stone. "Joining VSIP will allow Hunter Stone to develop tools built on the Microsoft .NET platform."

Hunter Stone is currently developing a programming tool targeted at the one million Microsoft Visual Studio .NET users. The product, code named "Greenlite," will enhance and extend core functionality in the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Greenlite will introduce a unique new user interface being coined by Hunter Stone as a Mage Interface. A Mage Interface provides much the same functionality as a wizard interface but a Mage Interface is always available to a programmer and does not limit use to a begin-execute-done operation model. Greenlite will include mages for User Controls, Custom Controls, and Inherited Controls for Windows Forms, as well as User Controls for Microsoft ASP.NET and server based ASP.NET controls for Custom Controls, Web Controls, and Inherited Web Controls.

"The Greenlite product will support Microsoft C# .NET and Visual Basic .NET programming languages," said Todd Walker, CTO of Hunter Stone, "and will increase developer productivity by flattening the learning curve for development of Custom Controls for both Windows Forms and ASP.NET."

"We're pleased to have Hunter Stone participate in the Visual Studio .NET Integration Program," said Sam Henry, lead product manager for Visual Studio .NET at Microsoft Corp. "Hunter Stone is developing control creation tools that will be of great value to developers building applications written in Visual C# .NET and Visual Basic .NET."

Greenlite is scheduled for release in late summer of 2002.

About Hunter Stone

Hunter Stone is a Microsoft Certified Partner with two primary business thrusts, Services and Products. Both thrusts are focused on Microsoft-centric Internet and intranet technologies with high specialization in Microsoft .NET and selected Microsoft servers.

Hunter Stone's services offering is quite mature and targeted at delivering end-to-end solutions to business issues that cannot be met by today's out of the box software. Their services goal is helping customers increase revenue potential, increase competitive advantage and organizational productivity, while decreasing overall operating costs.

Although Hunter Stone's product efforts are still in their infancy, their first product, WCE (Web.Config Editor and Composite viewer), can already boast over a thousand users within six weeks of release. The success of WCE has been a major motivating factor for joining Microsoft VSIP and beginning development of Greenlite.
