Industry report positions Symantec in the leader quadrant for personal firewalls.(Security)

Symantec Corp. has announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a leader in the "Magic Quadrant for Personal Firewalls, 1Q06" report. According to the report, "the personal firewall market in 2006 is transitioning from best-of-breed products to endpoint security suites that combine personal firewall with malicious code defenses, such as antivirus and anti-spyware, and policy enforcement based on physical device port defense and some form of network access control (NAC)."
