CyberArmor Suite Enterprise Personal Firewall tops Desktop Firewall
category based on its ability to provide the industries' only
policy-based, centrally-managed solution
InfoExpress, a pioneer in enterprise remote access security solutions, today announced that its CyberArmor Suite Enterprise Personal Firewall 1.1 has been awarded finalist status by Network Computing, a CMP Media LLC magazine, for a 2001 Well-Connected Award in the category of Desktop Firewall. The product was chosen for its innovative centralized security policy management capability to protect corporate assets from various malicious Internet attacks. CyberArmor also offers the industry's only environmentally sensitive policy-based solution. It can select the active policy by differentiating between users on the corporate network, when a remote VPN session is active, or when they are surfing the Internet.
"We're honored by the nomination of our CyberArmor Suite for this prestigious award," says Stacey Lum, CEO of InfoExpress. "InfoExpress is proud to receive recognition from Network Computing, and feel that our selection reflects a growing consciousness over the importance of centralized and flexible policy management in enterprise networks. Our team developed CyberArmor Suite specifically for this purpose, allowing systems administrators to take control of network security from the core to the edge."
This year, the winners of the Network Computing Well-Connected Awards will be revealed at a gala event held on the evening before one of the industry's largest trade shows, NetWorld+Interop 2001 Las Vegas. All Finalists will be highlighted in the May 14th issue of Network Computing and also on Network Computing Online at http://www.networkcomputing.com.
CyberArmor Suite is composed of four components:
- CyberArmor Client - pre-configured, auto-updated personal firewall software that protects the end-user's PC and notifies users and the CyberServer of attacks; - Policy Manager - creates and manages environmentally sensitive policies, run-time settings, and automatic updates; - CyberServer - logs user events and threats into a database; and - CyberConsole - enables viewing remote user systems and managing incidents through the database
"No other annual awards program in the industry uses hands-on evaluations to choose its winners," said Fritz Nelson, Publisher of CMP's Network Computing. "Our editors worked at length to research and test the best offerings in the enterprise arena. Being named a Well-Connected Award Finalist is a true reflection of product quality rather than merely product popularity or marketing effectiveness."
