EMC, IBM, Dell Beef Up SAN Product Lines.(Storage Area Network)(Product Announcement)(Abstract)

New RAID array product and service announcements are announced by EMC Corp., Dell Computer Corp. and IBM. EMC's Connectrix Enterprise Storage Network System offers 64-port switched Fibre Channel connectivity, with up to 9TB of storage capacity. Dell Computer's PowerVault 200S SCSI-based storage subsystem and PowerVault 650F Fibre Channel-based storage subsystem head a list of RAID products that gain support from alliances with NCR Corp., Unisys Corp. and Wang Global. IBM announced three connectivity products: Storage Area Network Gateway, Fibre Channel RAID Storage Server and Fibre Channel
