Consystant will provide significant software productivity
solutions for Matsushita's building automation and
next generation home networking product lines
Consystant Design Technologies, Inc., provider of Advanced Rapid Application Development Solutions, announced today that Matsushita Electric Works (MEW), marketing under National, Panasonic and NAIS brands, has signed an alliance partnership agreement with Consystant.
The alliance will provide resources to accelerate development of Consystant's rapid application development system for embedded software design in the building automation and home networking markets. The key aspect of the alliance is an equity investment in Consystant by MEW to collaborate on the Consystant product suite of embedded software design tools.
"Our engineering team was already investigating rapid application development solutions to meet the time-to-market demands for our building automation and next generation home networking products when we discovered Consystant's unique technology," said Dr. Junji Nomura, operative officer of Electrical Construction Materials for Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. in Osaka, Japan. "Consystant's technology will allow us to focus on our core competencies while automating the tasks required to move our building automation and home networking applications quickly to the operating systems and hardware architectures required by our customers."
"Matsushita is clearly a world leader in the consumer products market," said Don Carter, President and CEO of Consystant. "Matsushita will add strategic value to our company as we expand the extraordinary opportunities our technology brings in productivity solutions for software engineers."
About Consystant's Technology
The Consystant technology is a revolutionary and productivity-enhancing open standard for software component authoring and embedded software design. For the first time this technology enables multiple operating systems (or OS less requirements) and multiple architectures (CPUs, DSPs, FFTs or custom processors) to coexist in one integrated design. Once the software system is designed, Consystant's product automatically generates the code for the operating system and hardware architecture of choice.
