HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 2004
Blue Lance Inc., the leading developer of real-time network monitoring, auditing and security technology for Novell Netware and Windows networks, announced today that MedStar Health has selected LT Auditor+(TM) Version
MedStar's Baltimore facility is comprised of a heterogeneous Windows and NetWare environment. MedStar requires a proven security tool to monitor network and user activity with easy-to-configure reporting capabilities. With the proliferation of malicious code and an increasing need to monitor user activity within the firewall, it is critical for IT management to have a tool to protect the enterprise from known and unknown vulnerabilities.
"LT Auditor+ greatly expands our ability to monitor security risks by providing an inside-out look at our network," said Greg Johnson, manager, Server Engineering - Baltimore. "Having the power to view detailed audit trails, generate straightforward reports in real-time and track administrator activities provides a crucial layer of security for MedStar."
MedStar required a proven auditing package with enhanced filtering capability and the ability to monitor and report on basic network usage-file creation, deletion and relocation. These reports provide detailed information about user activity on the network and protect against unauthorized access.
"We are proud to add MedStar as a customer and to expand our footprint in the health care space," said Tommy Cathey, director of strategic relations for Blue Lance. "The key to our success is working in partnership with our customers to help ensure the continuous protection of their network assets, especially as it pertains to new regulations like HIPAA, GLBA and Sarbanes-Oxley."
