Now, in addition to integrating with SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, RWD Info Pak provides context-sensitive help to users of SAP(R) Enterprise Portal 5.0 and Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP2. These Web-based platforms provide end users with a single view of information across the enterprise by integrating SAP solutions, third-party applications, legacy systems, databases, internal and external Web content, and collaboration tools.

This latest RWD Info Pak enhancement works with RWD Info Pak - Publisher, a tool that automates the creation of step-by-step procedures and simulations of computer applications as the user executes a task in any Microsoft Windows-based 32-bit software application. Procedures and simulations can then be printed, published to the Web, or distributed for online, context-sensitive help.

The enhancement takes content recorded with RWD Info Pak - Publisher and integrates it with the SAP Portal, which is made up of basic building blocks called iViews. The iViews are small applications that display information in various formats such as text, figures, graphs, reports, tables, and charts, which make it possible to draw real-time data from applications to provide users with interactive access to a wide range of business functions. The enhancement for RWD Info Pak provides help directly from the iView. With the enhancement, the user receives context-sensitive help tailored to a specific iView and available right at the point of need.
